Artist's Description

There are 7 ethnic groups recognized in Brunei as indigenous. The answer to question on why the Iban tribe is not included is reduced to the mythical story on the drunk tribal leader who could not attend the meeting when the Constitution was drafted.. Iban people are perceived as one of the most fearsome warring tribes. They still speak the Iban language and follow some animistic beliefs as in the old day, residing in traditional longhouses. / Temburong, Brunei / Jan 19, 2020
