Artist's Description

Vietnamese have no problem showing their clothes including underwear outside to the sight of strangers. This photo captures an aspect of their mentality. Most of them have just emigrated from the surrounding villages. The difference between the village and the city is, however, that in the countryside, no one takes a look at neighbor's yard. Here in the city, the space is smaller and clothes need still to be hung to dry in the hot sun. Danang, Vietnam / Nov 2019
