Worker climbs to repair the power line in the mountainous part of North Laos, where the tribal people live. Laos started the electrification of this remote region which is neighboring China as recently as 15 years ago. Access to drinking water and power have not changed their lifestyle dramatically. The ethnic people such as Khmu, Akha, Lahu and others remain committed to cultivating their traditions. In majority, they remain animists. Vieng Phoukha, Laos / March 2019
